RRP block & billet crank
RRP block & billet crank
Good Afternoon,
Our 69 442 engine finally expired after 14 years and over 1300 runs in the 10.40-10.70 range, dropping a valve and in the end, causing the need to now replace the block, and crankshaft.
Noel's girdle did it job holding a stock 455 block together for all these years but the 650+ horespower combined with a transbrake and 3400 lb car finally over worked the factory block and factory forged crank so now its time to step up to better parts and a bit more horsepower while we are at it.
So, does anyone out there have an RRP block they purchased and didnt move forward with and / or a billet crank(stock stroke and main journal size) that they wpould like to sell?
Let me know,
Thanks,
Grant

Rocket Racing still produces this block but before I order a block from John, I was attempting to help someone out that may have started a build project that for whatever reason, is not able to finish and would like to get out from under.
Thanks
By the way, my son drag races a 75 W-30 H/O. It still has the original 455 in it and with some improved gearing, headers and dual exhaust, and a better quadrajet carb, we have it running 14.30's at 98mph in the quarter. Probably going to put a small cam in it and a Performer intake during the off season and see if we can get it into the 13's.
