Radio plate Dynamic 88

I need a used radioplate for my 63 dynamic 88 so I can put in a newer stereo. I now have a delete radio plate and don't want to cut it open.
Thanks,
Matt

You may have trouble finding a newer radio with the correct control shaft patterns to fit an original radio plate. Have you considered an under dash or in glove box installation?

The only "new radios" that exist that will fit an older radioplate are radios that you can get from Custom Auto Sound and the like. They are quite pricey. There have been numerous posts on these lately. I think they are called USA 360 or something...

That delete plate just unbolts from the back side and opens up the radio holes. Or are you trying to install a DIN unit? If that's the case, you will have to cut the dash to fit it in there. I'd leave the dash as is and fab up an underdash mount or small console for the stereo head unit.

If you're talking about the diecast piece the radio and heater controls are mounted in, it goes pretty much from left door to glovebox opening. Big piece and 1963 only, though it can come from any 88 or Ninety Eight. Starfires and stick shift cars do not have a PNDSLR indicator opening.

I just unbolted the cover plate and I see what You mean. I wouldn't want to cut it open for a DIN unit. I'll just have to buy a Olds FM unit and use one of those FM transmitters that You can plug a USB memory into.
Thanks,
Matt
