Isn't that a regular belt buckle? I thought the Deluxe buckles were nickel.

So how are Deluxe belts both painted and nickel covers?

There has to be a distinction between the two for ordering purposes.

My understanding is regular belts are painted black and Deluxe are nickel. My cars with build sheet showing Deluxe had nickel covers.

My '68 has Deluxe belts/buckles. They are chrome bodied, with brush nickel top and black buttons. I can't swear they are original to the car, but the date codes on the tags of the webbing are plausible as original installations.
