1- piece Driveshaft for '70 Cutlass 4-speed
[EDIT June 7] Having a custom one made for me instead. Really unbelievable how I was taken twice in this simple quest to get the right driveshaft. I hope everyone enjoys their money.
[EDIT June 1] I have purchased two drive shafts from sellers who insisted they had what I was asking for, even sending pictures, only to get the items and find they have been misrepresented quite badly.
I need a 1-piece 4-speed shaft that measures 56-1/2" from the center of the u-joint hole to the opposite center u-joint hole, not end to end. I've sent emails and texts to everyone I could think of who might have one, and they've come back negative. Anyone? It doesn't have to be perfect, but it would be nice if it was ready to drop in. If anyone is looking for a 1-piece that measures 55" from center to center, repainted and ready to install, I've got that. I have a one piece 56". I also have a 2-piece 55" in great shape that's ready to drop in anywhere. But I need 56-1/2! Let me know what you have!!

lol, I literally just scrapped around 30 driveshafts and I know for sure there were at least 5 that length. I saved 5 random ones from that stack, I will see what length they are. Hopefully one I saved was that length.

Of course...lol I was going to post for one a couple weeks ago, but thought I had the right one shipping to me based on pictures from the seller. Turned out to be wrong as well. I'll wait to hear before looking more seriously into using a longer yoke.

Article quotes
CC: How much should the front yoke of a driveshaft engage the output shaft of the transmission?
DD: The slip yoke should be able to go into the tailshaft of the transmission so the barrel is fully inside the seal. Then, pull out the yoke 1 inch. This is the correct amount of spline contact for the slip yoke.

Harv, if you would check the one that is longer than 56, it would be appreciated. There are 56's for sure, but only one 56-1/2. So many different combos for the different transmission, engine, and rear ends....

That may be the route I'm going to have to take. I just like having the right parts in case there is ever a question or there's ever a need for repair, etc. This whole effort has got me so twisted, especially when I can get on Amazon and have a new one made to my exact specs for $229. There's a Fleet Pride in my area but only for parts, not service. I know of a shop I can go to - might even happen this afternoon. I just want my car safely on the road!

Amazon?!? Bezos "makes" driveshafts? I don't know if I'd trust them. Sorry I don't really know their business model, have only ordered from them once. And they came very close to screwing up. Maybe they can put you in touch with a vendor, with them being the middle man. Simply don't know.
