64 starfire front brake dums

Looking for replacement front drums for 64 starfire. Dont want to go disc. And i dont care if they look stock.. Ive done some searching and rock auto list drums for 64 olds 98 but not starfire. Worth mentioning, the 64 olds 98 lists same wheel cylinders and shoes as the starfire, so assuming the drums may work.. also, i am running 15" wheels if thats an issue... resurfacing is not an option because one of my drums is badly damaged and while useable, it is severly out of balance. My only option is used, which i could do, but would prefer new. Any insight here? anyone know of a cross reference?
Thanks in advance.

RockAuto is NOT a factory parts book. Their on line catalog is notoriously inaccurate. The factory parts book shows that with the exception of the Jetstar 88 (which uses the smaller A-body brakes), all 1964 Oldsmobile full size models (Eighty Eights, Ninety Eights, Starfire, and Jetstar I) use the same front brake drums.

FYI, RockAuto DOES NOT sell the correct front drums for that application. Look carefully at their listing - the only front drums they list are 9.5". That is the common A-body drum. The correct drums for your car are 11". Once again, RockAuto's online catalog is incorrect.

You MIGHT be able to get drums from Kanter, which will be Chinesium drums that are guaranteed to be out of round right out of the box, so expect to have to turn those brand new drums. Alternately, contact mobileparts for correct old stock replacement drums. Good luck.

I didn't need front brake drums, but I did look at Pontiac and Buick on Rockauto for the right brake shoes (11" X 2"). I don't remember what I ended up with. I think there is a difference in drum sizes in the big Pontiacs (Catalina or Bonneville).

is this a good number 516--485-1935 ???? I attempted but could not get through? Also, if you do have drums, do you have drums that fit 1967 Delmont 88 AND a 1967 Delta 88 11 inch front drum??? My email is sr71blackbird1958@gmail.com
Thank you

Thank you. If they can be turned, they are better then what I have now that can't be turned.. lol. I have attempted to have that done and it just got worse then before they attempted it. So I am willing to try anything at this point... Bill aka Stumpy

There is, As I looked at probably over 40 different drums before funding the same size drum that I have. I found one that is the same size, but it won't be pressed on which as I see it should NOT be that big of a deal with the lug nuts holding the wheel on, but wanted to get some others opinion on this before attempting. Most other cars had 9 inch brakes, not many had the 11 x 2.5-2•3/4 I don't recall the exact dims right off, but the drums measured out the same. The only exception, the new one's don't have the BIG FLARE OUT on the edge of the drum, but what I have found will work and NOT hit anything on the car. Thank you for the info...

59-67 full-size Oldsmobiles except Jetstar 88 use the same brake drums.

I have the correct brake drums -- N.O.S. -- for the 1959 - 1964 OLDS FULL SIZE --- the "Big Bells" ORIGINAL KELSEY - HAYES and less pronounced big bells (less expensive) --- ALL N.O.S. VERY USA MADE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i also have the 1967 - 1970 OLDS FULL SIZE Brake Drums N.O.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The 1959 - 1964 Fronts are 11" x 2 1/2" and the 1967 - 1970 Fronts are 11" x 2 3/4" ---------- and as our fearless leader / moderator Joe Padavano points out ---- Neither of these are available from the chinesium world ----
and that IS a GOOD thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The phone number 516 - 485 - 1935 is and has been a good phone number for 40 years -- and there is a machine on 24 - 7 , and I call back everyone promptly, even if I am at a car show / swap meet etc. etc......
I will presently P.M. those of you who specifically asked.......

Feel free to call -- 516 - 485 - 1935.................. Yours, Craig...............
