BOP 8.2 caps

I need a pair of carrier caps for a BOP 8.2 rear end . The ones that came with the housing are for a Chevy 8.2 and will not work .

That is a wise decision.Fortunately for me I have 5 gal. buckets of caps from rears that I have scrapped over the last 45 years of doing rears.I buy rears with no caps when I can, because it seems I can always find a set of caps that fit well at the parting line. Then machine the cap to get a tight fit on the bearing race, which the factory wasn't to concerned with. Most factory rears you can wobble the races with your fingers even after the caps are tite. This is not acceptable, with the cap tightened I make sure it takes a small hammer to move the race. This is standard procedure on all of my builds. There are many things that can be done to a stock rearend to improve upon it's strength & longevity.Again,if you are anywhere near upstate NY I have those housings for $100
