Looking for an original rebuild-able 72 water pump for my 72 455 w/AC. The part number 231073.

 

The water pump casting number you need is 407586. I do not think I have one as a core, but I have a rebuilt one available.

 

Any one have any suggestions for a new water pump and timing chain for a 72 cutlass convertible with Air conditioning. Engine is a 350. Saw anti freeze dripping from lower radiator hose and hoses were in good shape

 

If you aren’t concerned with correct date codes and casting numbers, just get a reman pump from your local auto parts store. Keep the one you have and pay the core charge, assuming the one on the vehicle is original and you care to it for a furure rebuild.
