Wanted nos or nice used 1970 8 track face plate. Yes I could buy a repro but why bother if you can get the real McCoy. Look forward to your reply. Al

Al, I moved your thread to the appropriate forum. If you have a picture of what you want or even a schematic from the service manual that might help. Good luck finding what you need.

NOS is going to be hard to find but real nice used ones pop up now and then. Even a bad used one is better than the repops. This is one part that is truly pathetic in the repop form. I guess it would be ok if you were not worried about looking correct.

I modified my copy to say nos or nice used. Agree it would be tough. Although I did find my nos cruise control regulator that several said would be impossible.! Al

It may not be so difficult. I am always amazed at what turns up on this forum.

In this case, I am the one with the NOS part. However, after I moved I am not sure exactly where it is. I will look for it and post a picture when I find it.

The wood pattern on it is 71 or 72 but will still fit the 70. Very cool part! If OldsAI don't take it let me know a price. Obviously he gets first chance.

You're right. When i took the picture I had a fleeting thought that it should show burl.

I ordered this in the before time from a meticulous parts man. He probably told me that 71-72 was the only one still available. That slipped my mind until today.
