Looking for a 1972 CUtlass Cruise control regulator
HI, I am looking for a cruise control regulator (transducer) for a 1972 cutlass. I believe it should be part #554888. Would like it to be NOS or as nice as possible since i cant seem to find anyone that rebuilds them any more. Let me know what you have or if you know of someone that can rebuild them. I have a different style on my cutlass now from rock auto, works good but my speedometer reads 8 mph slow now. Guess i would like it to look and work correct.
Thanks as always for any help!

cruise regulator
Yes that is the same style as the one i currently have but i need the more square one.
My car is a 50,000 mile original car and speedo was right on the money till i put the Rock Auto transducer in it when i added cruise control. Thats why it doesn't make sense cause it should be one to one?

I'm not sure on the 71 and up units, but my 70 transducer has one brass vacuum hose fitting (with a lock nut) that can be turned in or out to sync the set speed with the actual speed. Service manual says each 1/2 of a turn out on the brass vacuum fitting will kick in the speed two MPH higher.

I think i did adjust that when i first put it in because it would drop MPH before it would kick in and i adjusted that to get it to kick in as soon as the button was pushed. I will have to read up on that in the service manual.
Thanks Greg
