Toro turn signal lens

Hello,
The left hand side turn signal lens in my '66 Toro dashboard is cracked. Does anyone have a nice one?
Mine is clear... Other '66s I've seen have green ones.
Thank you.

Inside turn signal lens

BW1339,

I have a 1967 with the same issue - except I need both left and right. If you find a supplier, please share the information with me. I have thought about buying a small sheet of plastic and cutting my own if all else fails.
Thanks, Tom

Hello Tom,
Two questions:

a) What's up with the clear lenses vs the more common green ones? I assumed my car being a very early '66 would be different, but yours is a year later...?

b) How did these break? Stress cracking?

I bet we could 3D print these easier than finding replacements... I need to create a model.

Thanks.

Mikel

Mikel,

I think they were all green when they were new. I guessing that they have simply faded and became brittle over time. I think they are just thin plastic. I know the rear courtesy light covers in the back seat were brittle and broke apart when I tried to get them off to replace the bulbs. All my best, Tom

Thank you guys. Has anyone seen clear (white-ish) turn signal lenses in these? Mine are certainly not green and I can't imagine them fading that much.

I was able to find some frosted transparent plastic sheets at a craft store that worked prefect. They are a a bit brighter, but they look awesome... Its a real pain to drop the steering wheel and then remove all the instrument gauges. So deffently make one time deal and do extras.... Deff you should also replace the console glass... The old yellowing glass gets weak and brittle. I just got plexiglass from the hardware store and it was fantastic. Much more durable, easier to clean, and crystal clear. Just be sure to around the inside of the silicone good so it seals good and let water/cleaner leak in.. Also its a great time to clean all copper connectors, oil all the speedometer mechanics, and touch up the gauges....
