Ground clips

Looking for the ground clips that are on the cowl area and touch the hood when it is closed. My car (70 442 coupe) had three as required on all the 70 models but one was broken. I am looking to buy two just in case one breaks. I do not want to purchase the reproductions as a friend of mine showed me one and it was larger than any of my original clips.

Are you commenting from seeing an original and reproduction side by side? I'm only asking because a friend of mine had a reproduction and though it looked the same when seen by itself it is larger than the original when I compared it to the two good ones I took off of my car. Also, I don't think I would consider $13 for one clip cheap but that is just my opinion.

i dunno...13 is cheap..when i see the craziness of NOS..

i have compared the one i bought side by side to NOS..ive had a bunch of NOS in the past

inline tube is the good one..it was so close to my NOS, i sold all the NOS i had

now, let me qualify that..i dont have a 70 442..but its dead on to my 69 GTO..and i know there are at least 3 diff types/applications...

Okay, I'll ask my friend where he got his and I will look into one from inline as I don't see GM making different size clips for each of their lineups. Some reproductions are better than others, thanks for the heads up on Inlines' clip.
