Watchmacallit? 67 trunk rods

I need one of those rod/springs that hold up the trunk lid on my 67 Cutlass but ain't sure what to ask for. Appreciate it and if you have one for sale, let me know. Thx.

It's a trunk rod. Need a length though. There are 2 different lengths on the A body
that I know of.

Thanks, will measure mine today and let you know. The rod has been welded before but snapped again right next to the weld. Are these very difficult to replace?

You just need the right year model A body. I believe the verts
may be another length entirely between yrs. Hardtops and post cars should be the same.

The "rod" measures 45 inches. How hard is this to install?

They aren't to hard to install, but you do have to use some pressure and try
not to get pinched doing it. The 3 spares I have are 49" tip to tip so I think
they are the 68-72 a body units. Larry has plenty of 66-67 stuff. you may contact him.
