need axle nut for '73 toro

Hi all,
My son's '73 has a stripped front axle nut and has been out of service for a month as a result.

The mechanics says it's a 24tpi x .89 if I recall correctly. This does not correspond to the size of the axle nuts on my '66 which are smaller.

Do any of you know the correct size or have any documentation?

Anybody have a nut laying around?

David

I may have one but it would be from a 67 or 68 Eldorado, would that work?

I moved your post to the parts wanted section. I hope you have better luck than the member who was looking for a 73.

1966-78 will all interchange. I provided one off a 1968 for the 1973 mentioned in this old thread and it worked just fine. If Don doesn't have the right one I've still got the other side on the 1968. John

I wondered if they ever found one.
