wtb: 71-72 cutlass rearend

Hi guys hope you don't mind a Buick guy over here, but I'm hoping to track down an 8.5 rear out of a 71-72 cutlass to put in my skylark. Gears aren't that important, just looking for a complete housing to build. I'm located in Billings, mt so let me know if there might be one in the general area.

Thanks,

Dan Nelson

Check your local sources and parts yards in the area closest to you. I have a couple of them, but shipping would be astronomical. Also, check with some of the parts guys here and they might know someone in your town.
Shipping a 10 bolt open carrier would be more than the cost of the rear.

I have shipped a few complete rebuilt rears to Billings before, but since you are going to build it yourself, you could have a bare housing shipped FedEx ground, along with the axle shafts in another box.If you can get someone to take all the guts out, that would be your best bet.Any 71-72 Cutlass/442 or any 71-72 Skylark/GS will have the rear that you need,as long as it is original to the car.
