WTB 70-72 Fuel Gauge Circuit Board
WTB 70-72 Fuel Gauge Circuit Board
Hi everyone, I need a 70-72 printed circuit board for the idiot light version of the gas gauge. I have one but a few of the pins are not well secured any longer. Thanks!

The Ace Hardware near me has parts drawers that are full of small and odd sized hardware. I was able to fix mine by finding a SMALL bolt the same diameter as the pin, and screwing it in the backside of the board, everything works as it should.
Pins on / off circuit boards
Your options are many.....do you want to repair it yourself...???
would you want it repaired / swapped if ina rush . for an upgraded c/b with improved pin mount
Or possibly hav a c/b with all pins intact..

Screwing in a tiny machine screw and a dab of solder made the gauge light up when I plugged it in. No fuel level though. I'll have to figure that one out but thanks to Dave for passing along a successfull tip.
Pins
Outstandin plan.....i hav murderd things occasionaly...good part is that if someting heads south on ya.....th part is just as Insufficient as before you adjusted it
got half dozen or so of them c/bs
Hav sacrificed that many again to repair others
My big weller melted th copper print at pin location
A sping washer would maintain decent contact & dielctric grease woud keep corosion at bay
If u do solder
I found it works best 4 me to apply Smalest dab of solder to contact locations of pin & copper print...that reduces heat induced to board As only has to b hot enough to melt solder
Be patient...take your time should b fine
Be certain to test it...those install / remove little easier than th 66-7s...so thats up 2 u...best of luck n better than that o skill
