How is this done? Saw a decent amount of cars in Springfield at the Nationals that had done this.

 

1. Attach drill to speedo input.

2. Run drill. (Pretty sure most gauges, which sweep from left to right, spin clockwise to go backward).

ps: alternately, you can take the gauge apart and move the little number drums with your fingers.

 

I have some cosmetically restored instruments, fuel gauges, column & floor shift speedos, clocks, etc.... I'll try to get pix if any interest?
