Welcome aboard.

I'm sure one of the 'lost in the 50's' guys will chime in. By any chance does it look like this? Olds Water Pump Pulley - eBay

Thanks for the reply. I did see this one but I am in need of a two groove pulley. I have done a pretty exhaustive search with no luck, I just hope it's a matter of not knowing where to look(?).

I just did a web search and found a lot of 1953 Olds 88's at Desert Valley Auto Parts . I only used the 1953 Olds 88 as a search, but I'm sure that the same pulley was used from 1949-1956 on 88's and 98's, which they seem to have a fair number of. Maybe you could check with them? Their on line ad says the cars are being parted and may have your desired pulley.

Thanks for the tip Allan.

Looking today I realized it's obviously not an original pulley as an a/c was added to the car, hence the 2 grooves. I have not removed it yet, but can I assume there might be a way to identify it once I get it off and inspect it?

It should have letters stamped into it. Is the pulley from a much later year? If so, you might be able to measure the 'bell' on the offset and use a more modern pulley.

I have numerous 50's (including a 1953) and early 60's water pump pulleys. If you measure the diameter and depth of your pulley I can probably match yours. John

It is still on the car so it's nearly impossible to get an accurate measurement. Guess is 3 3/4 deep & 6ish width.

Hope to get it off tomorrow or Monday. Thanks.
