Wanted, single D head

Many years ago I purchased a set of D heads but one had a really back crack in it. I'm just throwing this out there, if anyone has a single good D head that they'd be willing to sell I'd be interested!

Best of luck, but I don't like your chances. It's not likely anybody will want to break up a pair!

I agree. But am thinking there may be someone else out there with one good and one damaged head.

How bad is the crack. Ive seen some amazing stitch work on heads and blocks. It is possible to repair it.

I just sent pictures to a buddy who says he knows someone who could do it. Even if it cost several hundred dollars that would still be cheaper than buying a single head, if I found one that is!

I have a local friend, not on the Board, who has owned a set of D heads for many years. The last time I saw them, they sitting on a 455 mounted to an engine stand in his shop. Like me, he is a 66 tri-carb 400E engine fan which uses B heads. I do not think he will ever use his D heads. However, he would only sell the pair and not a single. PM me and I will provide his contact information.
