Wanted: Olds script valve covers

Looking for a pair of standard height aluminium script valve covers to suit BBO.
Not polished is ok, but not looking for fixeruppers.
Please be willing to package and ship down under.
Something like these.

The top ones will fit your car, although they are tall and might be tight against the power brake booster and AC box. The lower one painted black will not fit your engine. They're for the race engine, I can't think of the name right now, but the bolt pattern for the valve cover to head is different.

I may have a set of the top ones. If someone else doesn't come up with them first I'll try to locate mine and post pictures of them. John

DRCE Oldsmobile for the bottom ones.

Drag Race Corporate Engine I think.

I dug out the valve covers I have and they're block printing, not script.

Anybody else have a set to offer up?

John

The top pair are available only in tall covers. The pic you have is of a pair that has the hole milled into them for a breather. I have a pair that has not had the hole opened up but they belong to my son and he does not want to sell them.

Thanks John but I think the tall covers will interfere with the booster and will not fit with the AC as you said without a lot of dickin around.
Really after std height pair with the cursive 'Oldsmobile' logo script, but if none turn up I'll keep yours in mind - thanks.
I did read somewhere on the internet or could have been here, there is a version available in tall or std height.
I didn't really want to pay for polished ones, not the look I'm going for, but will consider polished if that's all I can find.

Anyone else want to part with a pair?

Gee, 5 or so years ago these were for sale all the time online.

Thanks for looking.

I agree with edzolz and believe the script valve covers are all tall. If you don't want to use tall ones you may need one of the other aluminum covers. I've got a couple sets extra, I'm guessing the black ones used to have the hardin marine letters on them, but a previous owner ground them off and sprayed them with black wrinkle paint. Then lightly milled the fins to take the black paint off them. I may have a couple more sets of aluminum covers, not sure if they have the marine brand or Holly/Edelbrock names on them. John

Sorry John, just came home from work. The black ones look nice, do you think the stock breather rubber grommets will fit in those holes??
I would like to see others you mentioned in your 'collection' lol.
Could you pm me with a few more pics and prices mate?

I did a search here and had a good look at the photos of Olds valve covers, lots of photos!
The cast ally block letter covers definitely look like there were two different heights available once.
I do agree the Olds script type all look very tall.

John,
Since the valve covers wont work for the other guy. How about selling them to me? As they will fit on my car.
How much?

Don
