Wanted: Large Sway Bars '71 to '76 Fullsize

I'll end up buying these sooner or later from an aftermarket supplier,
but if anyone's got any (front or rear, factory or aftermarket) laying around that they want to sell, please let me know.

Thanks,

- Eric

Eric, I've got a front bar that I think is 1 1/8", came from a early '70s big Chevy wagon, seems that some Chevy wagons (not all though) have the largest front bar from the factory for '71-'76 big body GMs. I might also have a rear bar, I just installed one I had on my friend's '71 Delta, I've got some loose unmarked rear bars here, so I'd have to crawl under his car to compare and make sure one of 'em is the right one. You'll have to scare up the mounting hardware for the rear bar, inserts for the lower trailing arms are GM #10191120 and I had no problem still getting them, bolts can be gotten at any good hardware store. $50 for the front bar, $75 for the rear if I've got the right one, plus the shipping.

Urethane bushings and links would really help on the big cars!
Put some on the front of a 'burban, and my son really noticed the difference!
And he can't afford to pay attention - surprised me!

Just dredging this one up...

Still got my eyes open for a rear sway bar for a '71 to '75 full size.

Would probably have come off an Impala wagon with a towing package, maybe an ambulance or a police car.

They're out there... somewhere...

The rear sway bar seems to be standard equipment on 75 and 76 Caprice series(Caprice not Impalas), I've parted out over a dozen 75-76 Caprices and every one was so equipped. Out an estimated 300 or so 71-76 GM B body cars I've parted out the only other B body rear sway bar I found was on a 75 Pontiac Grandville.

By the way 71-76 B body wagons had leaf spring rear ends.

Well, you learn something every day.

I'll keep looking for '75-'76 Caprice parts, then.

Thanks!

I have rear one off of a 73 pontiac grandville. I'd take $85 plus shipping. It is not from a leaf spring rear. I will have to check but I think it has the bolts, and inner sleeves that go inside the control arms.
