My valve covers need a respray and unfortunately I don't have any left over paint. Does anyone have either a full or partial rattle can of Bill Hirsch Hi-Temp 455 Blue they are willing to sell? The newer the better (IE: mixed within the past 12 months).
I have found that the engine paints that Fusick sells are spot on. I keep several cans of the blue, gold and copper in stock. I also question Mr. Hirsch's list of years of application, '66-on. The 455 didn't come into use until the '68 model year, and they were painted red until 1970.

Which vendor provides the most "correct" 455 blue has been beaten up pretty good on this forum. I'm pleased with the Hirsch color.
I just need some extra paint for the valve covers. Next time I'll buy + 1 (similar to what you have on hand) for such occasions.
As long as the paint you use is the same as most use that's fine. Its when your at a Olds show and yours doesn't match the rest then they the Judges mark it down. I use Specialty Olds out of Org.
