Hey all it’s been years but I’m back with an 87 supreme and I’m looking for a factory 8.5 rear for the gbody it’s my understanding these were in the later model monte ss cars hurst and 442s would love if it could be shipped let me know what you have!!

 

Nah, only later Buick GNs, 84 H/O, and 85-87 442 had 8.5. A lot were non-posi because none of the "select-a-unit" packages the dealers usually ordered from didn't include G80. So someone had to know that G80 had to be ordered a la carte to get it.

 

The stock 8.5's for the g bodies are getting up there in price.

 

no kidding and hard to find found quick performance has a 9 inch complete setup for around 2k if I don’t add any bells and whistles and it’s looking like that’ll be the route for me just gonna save up a little dough and pull the trigger I’m not opposed to the 9 inch just would rather keep my gm well gm 🤣

 

Just sold one that was rebuilt for $1000. Too cheap.

 

The one I saw today on marketplace was 2gs but the fella wouldn’t ship and he’s all the way in cali

 

i haad one almost couldnt give it away. sold it last year for 300.00

 

How soon do you need it. Upgrade to S60. My 8.5 is like new. Brakes not included and has a Moser cover now.
