WANTED: 79 Holiday88 Rear Window Glass

Disaster struck this morning and I found the rear glass on my '79 Delta Holiday88 shattered. Local kid's baseball? Vandal? Who knows? I was heading out to bring her to the Langley Cruise-In car show near Vancouver BC. What a bummer. Brought her anyway and the funky shatter held together by the tint film was actually a draw for the curious. So anyway I need to find a replacement.
If you have one or can refer me to someone/somewhere I can find one, please feel free to contact me.

Bummer.

I hope you're able to find a replacement window. Don't forget to look for parts from an Oldsmobile 98 too.

Interchange should be 77-79 (possibly 1980) Delta 88, Buick LeSabre and Pontiac Bonneville/Catalina two doors. Even though the Delta's quarter windows make it look like it has its own roofline, the BOP B cars use the same body structure.

Can't remember offhand if vinyl top Deltas had that rolled "Frenched" treatment at the rear glass. That might turn replacing the glass into an adventure.

Hi rocketraider - Thanks for your reply. Not sure what your message regarding "Interchange should be 77-79 ... " is referring to. Should I be messaging elsewhere as well? Yes, the rear treatment is 'frenched' as you suggest. I am indeed anticipating an adventure to get this repair done but first I need to locate a replacement part. I do have a local shop that replaced the original vinyl a couple years ago so I'd use them for sure. Cheers, Jim

Interchange just means the cars that the part will fit.

In simpler terms a rear glass for 1977, 1978 or 1979 Buick, Olds or Pontiac B body two door should work for you. Chevrolet B had that bent wraparound rear window so it won't work.

A glass shop will know for sure and might even be able to get you a new one.

Hi Rocketraider - well I'm not having much fun trying to find a replacement window. There is a site https://www.hollanderparts.com/used-...ed,-vinyl-roof that locates some candidates a couple of which claim to be from Buick Riviera cars. You mention Buick as a potential donor. Would you know if the Riviera would be compatible? Thanks for any help you can offer.

I'm not 100% sure on Riviera. 77 and 78 did share some stuff with the LeSabre but Riviera is an E body. I don't want to steer you wrong.

Cole on V8buick

There's a Guy from BC on the V8buick forum. His name is "Cole" He has a fairly large yard / impound yard. He must be a towing company. You might look him up.
