Wanted: 71 / 72 442 Rear Bumper

Looking for a 1971-1972 442 Rear Bumper w/ cut-outs. I want a real nice original bumper, N.O.S., or a rust-free core for re-plating. Thanks, Bob

Just something to think about. I bought a 72 cutout bumper from Tamraz a few years back. Fits nice and the chrome still looks like new. Paid $385 then. I see it's currently running about 299.00

They packaged it really good for shipping and handled my order promptly and courteously. Even if you get a decent core bumper to re-chrome, the price of chroming has gone waaaayy up in the past years. Just depends on what you want to buy I guess.

When the NOS cutout bumpers were tipping the $1,000.00 scale, and scored one for $850.00,and was within 2hrs driving distance. It's a little overkill for my 72 supreme, but all the other ones I found were junk.I had an original on there before, that was rechromed by the Bumper Boyz, and that chrome was crap.It started to gray, and even began peeling in one spot, when it wasn't even 3yrs old,and it is stored inside always.I have found that the 71-72 cutout bumpers are harder to find than the 70 bumpers. If I had one to offer up,I would, but as of right now,I don't.

Going to be tough to find an original good one below $500.

I missed an N.O.S. on eBay back in July for $650 (Buy it Now) because I was not sure I was keeping the car. Now I am kicking myself! Thanks for all the input.

You, my friend, have the unique gift of 20/20 hindsight . Much as I wish it was a rarity, it seems pretty common amongst us that live in uncertain times. Wish I could go back in time to fix all those times I've said, "if I knew then what I know now".

Hope your project turns out really nice. Gotta go watch the football game now.....
