Wanted a pair of this style valve covers for a 303 Rocket with the dimpled sides to them. Thanks kindly for any help or leads.

Welcome to the site! I think more detail on the title will help you get more responses. I believe these came on the 303 engines so I'll add that to the title. If I'm wrong let me know and I'll change that. John

 

These came on 303 engines in 1949 and 1950. The plate on top was a different color each year. I believe the plates are reproduced but not the actual valve covers. I am not sure I have ever seen a pair come up for sale. Post an ad in the parts wanted section. Good luck because these are cool looking.

 

Thanks gentlemen for updating my Wanted title much appreciate any help. I thought this ad was already in the Parts Wanted section ? Curious from you experts why they are so scarce ? There has to be a few sets resting on someone's shelf or on an old block somewhere. Thanks again everyone.

Check with Windy Hill Used Auto Parts in New London, MN. He claims to have some for the 1949 V-8. Telephone: 320-354-2201. His stock number is D51526. He shows them @ $100 each plus shipping.
The Olds part number for 1949 & 1950 is 557550.

 

Windy Hill is proud of those things. Maybe that is the going price.
