Wanted: 1972 Olds Cutlass Supreme Trunk Torsion Bars

I need the trunk torsion bars for my 1972 Olds Cutlass Supreme, one of them is broke and the trunk won't open on it's own. I'm not sure what years can be used, maybe 70-72 but I can't be sure.

If you have a set or a left/right let me know.

email at hrrs_p@yahoo.com for the best response.

Hardtop or convertible? I'm really not sure if they're different. Anybody? If you can measure the broken one, it may help. Thanks, Bob.

I have an extra, 48 & 1/2" long. From a coupe I believe.

It's a hardtop, I'll get in there and measure in the next couple days.

Roosy, when you measure, do it from the end of the short end to the bend
where it shoots upward, (long end) on the opposite side. That should tell us what's needed.

Convertibles are definitely different than coupes but I'm not sure if S & Supreme coupes are the same?('70-'72) or if 4 door rods are different than coupes & convertibles? We need a parts book stat!!!

I took the measurements, the one good rod is 42 3/4 inches. What has happened since it snapped is when I open the trunk, the upper edge is rubbing, passenger side, I guess the side with no spring from a broken rod, chipped the paint.
