I'm not 100% sure that they are the same, but I have the firewall area from a '70 442 convertible. I will separate. Email me direct: drolds1@bellsouth.net. Thanks, Bob.
I appreciate all the feedback and help. I could not find anything in the assembly manual. I did find in the illustrated parts book on page 12-122 what they call a brace assembly. The pictures provided for the drivers side looks exactly like mine. I have come to the conclusion that the passenger side toe board I am putting in and the repo brace I already had purchased is correct and just needs some fitting. So the double mount appears not to be correct. Thanks again for all your help.

This is from the 68 Assembly Manual. It's very generic but it definitely shows one mount
I have owned a bunch of convertible parts cars & I don't remember Olds. ever having the double mount at the front. I think I've seen Buicks & maybe Chevies that have had them.
Well... I wonder if this is one of those things that varied by assembly plant? Here's some pictures of a 1968 and it has two holes. But looking at the rust marks it looks like only one bolt was installed.
that double mount is on many buicks and oldsmobile 69 up..it controls cowl shake...and thats why its there on upper end buicks and olds...
chevy and pontiacs used the single mount..thats what ive seen..even some buick hardtops use the big mount..it may not have the bolt in it..it may use a dummy mount..but ive seen it..especially on 4 door skylarks..i have 3 cars ready to crush..let me see if theres anything on them usable..including a 4 door hardtop..good chance it has it...
