need posi unit and gears for 67 cutlass 442 rearend, type O rearend has 12 bolt cover 10 bolt ring gear, 28 spline axles, currently has 278 gears would like to get 390 if poss. live near pittsburg pa

For the type O you need to understand that there are three carriers.


2.56/2.78
3.08/3.23 (also for Richmond gear sets 3.42/3.90/4.10)
3.42/3.91 (also for OEM gear sets 4.33/4.66/5.00)


So you will need both the carrier & the gears.

they do sell aftermarket gears for the 3.23 - 3.08 OEM olds carriers
otherwise you will have to find "good used # 390 gears and posi"
