I am looking for an early 70 hard top trunk lid. Must be in great rust free condition. original paint even better. Must be the flat first style with no rings. I have an excellent 3rd type with the ring and hole punched if you want to trade one and not sell one. Let me know what you have.

Would someone explain the difference between the 1st and 3rd style, was there a 2nd? I got one with original paint but have no clue about style. My wife would say that's because I don't have any style. Different story.

 

here is a picture of the early style 1970 trunk lid underside. where the x is the newer trunklids have a round stamped hole like the convert trunklid in the second picture

I have a couple leads but have not got any yet? Do you have any? Must be in real good condition.

 

I got one on my very clean car I'm parting out. Original paint, I think. Some rust in the seam, no pitting or perforation, but needs a chemical bath. Send me a PM if interested. This is a nice complete car, black buckets, console and power windows. I will be selling the shell, no rust through in the quarters. Do you need anything else?
