Check in with French Lake Auto parts in MN. They just got a ‘65 tilt wheel in bolted into a ‘65 Olds 98, but is now lacking a steering wheel.

I attempted to buy the turn signal stalk, but they refused (rightly) since they’ll get more for a whole column.

They will ship. Good luck & good hunting. In a pinch a ‘66 tilt & tele column may work.

Chris

I’m in IL. No idea what shipping will run. I’m at homecoming currently. Any chance you are going to the nationals or Hershey in October? Are you looking for a particular color? Here are pics of the 64 columns I have. Some with wheels, some without. Let me know.

Email direct to dead@mchsi.com and send an address. It may take a few days to find a big enough box to get a total with shipping. Just a tilt column would be $200. I will want to send pics direct to you to verify what is there. Regards Pat

Yes and no. The wheel is the same but you need to change out or make a different cancel pin that goes in the backing plate of the wheel. The service book details this.

Pull ur wheel and you will see the cancel pin. Liberal amounts of Kroil and channel locks will pull it out. Usually farm and fleet will have a dowel that size and you can bend the shape in the book in a vise. If not, I’ll send the wheel separately. Let me know.

That’s a biggie. I will need to look harder as the ones I have pulled already will have a shifter hole on the column. Those are hard to come by.
