Do you have the old one? I spent weeks looking for a motor for a customer's 66 Caprice Wagon and ended up getting the old one rebuilt for about a hundred bucks. I have the info.

Yes, I do. Would appreciate it if you could provide me your resource for rebuilding the motor.

The rear lift motor is the same as one side door motor. I can't remember but I think it is the same as the driver side? I do have a used motor from the back of a 70 Vista that works. $40 shipped. They are the same from around 65 to mid 70s.

I've had a few wagons, I get the window motors rebuilt for about $50-60 local to me, takes a couple weeks if it needs parts ordered.
Now this is a tidbit I got from one of these forums, don't remember which one, and I have not tried it. The rear window motor for a wagon is the same as the rear window motor for an 80s suburban, GM part #5045610. I crossed it at AutoZone to a Cardone #42-14.
Finally, be careful in there. On the 66&7 which I have worked on you must drill a hole and put a screw in to keep the spring in check so the motor can be removed safely. I found the instructions in the body manual, likely available on the Wild About Cars site.

Luck,

Great job and fast turnaround. They will not touch the motor if it has been opened.

I talked to these guys about the tailgate motor for my '67 Vista: www.windowmotor.com. They are in Margate Florida. They told me there are differences between door motors and tailgate motors. Said rebuild would be about $100 and take a week. Might want to talk to them also.
