For better results when you trying to locate or sell parts, it's a good idea to update your location under your USER ID in the USER CP.

What exactly are you looking for and for what purpose? Just restoration purposes? Are you wanting the complete transmission or just a case that tagged? I've got a 67 OB case. Not exactly sure what I'm doing with it yet. I know what I'd like to do with it, but if I was offered to much for it, I might sell it.

I currently have a 69 OA in car that is in need of rebuild but would prefer to rebuild correct yr. condition of trans not important as long as tag is decent. (Priced accordingly) Must have speedo on trans. Some big 67 cars did not have on trans.

I moved your post to the Parts Wanted forum, where you'll probably have better luck than resurrecting a thread that's been dead for two years.

67 442 switch pitch

So I have a 67 cutlass 442 with a 69 OA turbo 400 with a 9" tail shaft. Would the correct transmission for my car have a 9" or 4" tail shaft?

4" would be correct for all A-body cars except the long-wheelbase Vista Cruiser.

I believe I have a couple of 67 Switch pitch th400 but I think they are all out of turnpike cruisers. Which is functionally the same and dated right but I think the code is different.

Email me direct
