Speaker Dust Cover Fabric

I'm looking for a square foot or so of the thin, black speaker cover fabric seen on the front and rear speakers from the factory. I'm not sure if it has a specific name or description, but I can't seem to find it with the terms I've used to search. Any leads are appreciated as well!

Have you tried turnswitch.com ?
I don’t see it for sale on their site, but they do make classic car speakers.

Bob, if your speakers are original, you could consider having them reconed; the paper deteriorates with time.

I did that for mine and they came back with the proper black fabric cover.

I used a black material from Walmart. It is a little softer than original but when installed you can't tell through the grill of the upper dash

Years ago I went to an upholstery shop. The material they staple onto the underside of upholstered chairs, to give them a finished look, matched the original sample of the speaker cloth I brought with me. Somewhere I still have a bit left but who knows where. I would imagine the material is still used.

Bob:
I just fab'd up a stereo dash speaker for my '72 convertible project: I bought some grille cloth from PartsExpress to cover the speaker so you can't see the tweeters when you look down on the dash. I have some extra material that i would gladly send you for the cost of the postage, just PM me your shipping address.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. Rodney, I'll take you up on your offer - I'll PM you. I have a freshly reconed speaker and an NOS speaker that both need new dust covers/black fabric. One is just missing, and the other I damaged myself. As soon as the USPS gets itself caught up with package delivery, I should have my restored radio back and ready to be installed - can't wait to hear how the original stereo sounded when it was new!
