Seeking switch to activate console lamp

Hey guys,

I can't seem to locate a reproduction of this part. Therefore, looking around for nice used one.

Here's a picture: console switch.jpg

Thanks,

Mike

There is not one available new.You "can" use a door jamb switch, from the 72's.It is identical, with the exception that the spring tension is stiffer, but they do work in some situations.I have tried them a few times where they worked, and a few times where they were too tall, and the switch bottomed-out before the lid was completely closed. This also has to do with how nicely or close the lid closes against the console. They vary among consoles,as they were assembled for function, not show pieces. Some lids were tight to the body, and some had a gap.

Thanks for the tip. So, the door jamb switches are different between '70/'71 and '72? Or, would a '70 switch work just the same?

UPDATE: just checked out Fusick catalog and see there indeed is a difference between the switches. Thanks, again
