search Shocks mounting clip ?!?
Hi together,
I change my front shock absorbers.
At a shock absorber, a screw was fastened only by a nut.
I'm looking for this mounting clip. The shock absorber is thus fixed from below.I do not know what's the part.
Here are a few more pictures.
Maybe someone has something in the cellar.
If it is important, I have a '67 old 98 convertible.
Thank´s

It has been my experience that the J nuts you can find readily have too much length from bolt center to the bend in the J. While you may possibly be able to use them, the bend sticks out too far and prevents the shock from passing thru the hole readily. Maybe you have to insert shock, THEN put J nuts on, then bolt shock to lower control arm?
If you want to try some from the "this guy" ePay vendor who prefers not to be named [attn: Firefrost] and he will not ship to Europe, I can order and then send to you. THAT should be interesting. I would of course test-fit them before shipping. [Long story there]
I found in my search a suitable metric substitute. I bought about 100 of them. M8 silvery cad plated bolts and matching J nuts. An advantage is that the drive is 10mm hex so the drive tool is smaller OD than the usual 1/2"=13mm socket. I will send you a few for the cost of postage but even that is pretty dang pricey.

Update
most of the bolts I have are black oxide coated, not silvery
M10 drive, M8 threads
Drawn tubular threaded section, not a secured separate nut
short J bend to fit right
USPS web site keeps directing me to the $50 Flat Rate Int'l Express envelope, even if I tell it regular envelope or my-box package.
So, a no-go at this point. Too much postage hassle.

As we all know, the life span of the J-nuts is not all that long. Mine were both broken. I saw a recommendation on here a while back about welding nuts on to the Control Arm, which solves the problem permanently. If you are not going for a show car, that may be an alternative for you.
