In Search Of! Olds 260 Engine Chicagoland

Hi all, looking for a good running olds 260 engine. I’m in the Chicagoland area and would prefer to stay around there or southern Wi. Bonus points if I can hear it run.

Olds 260 engine - auto parts - by owner - vehicle automotive sale - craigslist

Here is one on my local craigs list. It is probably to far for you. Price is good though. Good luck in your search.

Any relation to that 400,000 mile Cutlass that just changed hands?

I think I can assist with the why question, since I have 2 of 'em:

Nothing beats that feeling of pulling onto the interstate knowing you need at least a 2 mile lead before pulling out in front of that loaded 18 wheeler going 90 in the right lane.
