Better check your math again. With the stock 4.250" stroke, an 0.060" over bore gives you a 468. No stroker crank and rods required.

Are you looking for show car or driver quality?

Don't you want a turbo 400?

BTW Welcome aboard

Sorry, but that's even more rediculous. Again, just to review, with a STOCK stroke and STOCK rods and an 0.030" overbore, you get 461 (some people call it 462) cu in. You would have to sleeve the cylinders down smaller than the stock bore to get 462 with a stroker crank.

OK, humor me. What IS the bore and stroke on that motor?

Are you sure you don't mean a 482? An 0.060" overbore and a 0.125" stroke increase give you a 482 Olds.

Ok dude if you don't mind I am looking for parts no a school lesson, I don't need someone questioning me if you wanna show everyone how smart you are post you own thread. If I wanted to talk about motors I would have posted a thread about motors, as far as the cubic inches I will have to get my paper work out from the machine shop so if you don't mind go tell someone else how smart you are I don't have the time.

Hey. Thanks for the welcome, does this turbo 400 have the correct tail shaft for the year I bought one already but it had a long tail on it.

Wow, a new guy telling people off already. I might have had a few things to offer but I think I'll pass. I'll save the parts for someone with a better attitude.

You can do what you please, I have a great attitude I think I just don't need any feed back on mis prints, the papers I received with the motor from the machine shop was 462 cubic inch bb and when I assembled the motor I installed a stroker kit, weather that makes it a 482 or whatever I don't know, this would be the wrong forum to be arguing about it, so let's all pull our heads out of our butt and stick to the topic at hand.

Thanks

Ok,

Let's start all over. You've got a 69 442 and you're in St. Joseph Mo.

A 69 442 came with a turbo 400. Lot's of people hook up turbos 350 which will last depending on alot of factors.

When I restore a car, I always save the parts I replaced, so I got a pile of 69 parts that range from Ok to down right awful. That's why I was trying to determine what kind of build you were doing. If you're building a show car, I can't help much.

Repo Interior parts are avaliable. There are several threads here where people discuss their preferred suppliers.

Good luck with your build and keep us posted with pics of your progress.

looking for good parts, as far as tranny the car didn't have the correct one in it when i bought it, i wouldn't mind a turbo 400 but i prefer the turbo 350, personal preferance. i have a 2 speed olds tranny and a running complete 350 rocket that was in the car when i received it.
