Need a 69 442 or 69 442 parts

A fellow oldsmobiler needs either a 69 442 parts car or parts off of one. He wants the 442 hood scoop and the spoiler and some other stuff. If anyone has or knows of one in the Montana, Wyoming area, post it up and I'll see if he is interested.

Do you mean he wants the 69 H/O Hood scoop and spoiler?

I think so. He wanted that spoiler and the hood, but I he wants the hood scoop to be part of the hood and not just riveted on. I don't know if they came as part of the hood or if they were riveted on from the factory, but that's why he didn't buy one from a restoration place.

Please make sure your friend is talking 69 here not 70. There is only one 69 hood scoop and it wasn't put on at the factory. 69 Hurst Olds were plain Jane 69 442's with a 455 C.I motor that were taken to Demmer engineering where the scoops spoiler etc were installed. They are not "riveted on' they are bolted on through the hood.

Occassionally I see 69 442's with 70 W-30 hoods. The 69 hood scoop is in the pic with my name, the 70 is shorter and wider and takes some work to fit a 69.

So check with your buddy. I've got all the parts he needs, if he's talking 69.

Here's a picture of a 70 W-30 hood on a 69 442 and the 69 H/O Hood scoops.

I hope this helps explain what I was trying to say above.

He does want the 69 hood scoop like the one in your picture. I didn't know that it wasn't a factory thing. If you want to post up your e-mail I will call him with it and he can get a hold of you that way. I know he wanted to get just a parts car around the Montana, Wyoming area but he might be willing to pay for shipping and stuff.
