Looking for a rebuildable '66 '67 400 engine
Hi
Fairly new to the forum... I've got a '66 442 that had the engine replaced some time ago with a 455.. I'm looking to do a frame off and when I start putting things back together I plan on putting a fresh 400 in and converting the auto to a Muncie.
I bought one of these new back in '66 and the 400 motor was great back then.
I've already done a '55 Chevy post with an '04 Corvette LS1. This is going to
be a bigger challenge since re-pro parts aren't as available as the Chevy.
Hopefully with this forum I'll be able to get some of the parts I can't restore off the vehicle I have.
Looking forward to partaking in the forums and giving my 2 cents worth when I can... Thanx...... Bill (Chico, CA)

They do turn up from time to time and it pays to advertise as it may stirr someone's memory that they have one sitting in the shed and maybe its time to sell. I found one this way about a year ago. trouble for me was most were too far away for pickup. Keep an eye out on Ebay and Craigslist....allof craigslist search for that E block 400.
