looking for a rebuildable 7040250 carb
i got one close to a year ago but it is not any good. i want to have sparky's carb service rebuild one for my rallye 350 but the 2 i have are junk. is there any other carb rebuilders that do good work? i have heard that Sparky's was one of the better ones. i think that is who i will go with if there is no big red flags from anyone.
also my engine is not stock, it is not hoped up much but does have a JM-18-20 cam from Mondellos and the compression adds up to 9.9:1
stock manifolds with big valve 6 heads. will Sparky's be able to do a rebuild for this or does he just do them to OEM specs? i have heard that he may need vacuum readings from my engine? any info would help.

I have several 7040250 cores for sale. Sparky's rebuilt my 7040250 a while ago. Sparky's work is super top-knotch! My carb rebuild was a custom job. It mirrors the rare '70 W-31 Q-jet (7040255). Sparky's also added a later model Q-jet's linkage, since I put an '87 Buick Grand National 2004R tranny behind my warmed over '69 Olds 350. I'll post some pics of the carb Sparky's rebuilt for me
I have a 7040250 carb, currently disassembled, but all there. It does have a different throttle arm,but the baseplate is an Olds part,so I think the throttle shaft was replaced at one time.Make offer.I can check anything on it you want.Sparky's is real good.I have Craig Woodrfuff restore my carbs,& they are great. The benefit for me is that I can drive there in about an hour.
