Hi guys,

I’m looking for a crankshaft for my 1952 Super 88 with the 303 motor.
does anyone has anything “ready to install” laying around? Or can I buy new ones anywher?

How did you go from attempting to install a rear main oil seal to needing a crankshaft?

i took the whole engine apart and now I want to rebuild it. The old crankshaft doesn’t look this good anymore and I’d have to get it overhauled so I’m looking also for other options

 

Well I have many 303's for parts but how do we get a crankshaft to you? One other big problem: assuming any crankshaft including the one you already have must be machined under to clean it up, bearings are in short supply world wide right now, which might mean a extended wait. Engines are sitting waiting for back orders on the bearings. Maybe the crankshaft you have can clean up, unless you know it is already undersize.

 

Due to cost of shipping and that most used shafts will need work, consider fixing yours. First measure it to see if it can be resurfaced, then get the new correct size bearings in your possession before machining. As stated, parts are hard to get and you don't want to grind the shaft and then not be able to get the bearings.
