Looking For 72 Supreme Convertible Frame

Looking for a rust free 72 Supreme convertible frame.
Mine is probably ok, will need some clean up, but if the stars align and a better frame is available it might save me work.
27 years in a barn…. Last on the road in 87, back on the road 2025..🤞

Brian Trick

Looks like a clean car, especially given the location. How bad is it underneath?
You might reach out to someone like "Brian Trick" he has had blasted and powdercoated frames of different types, often stacked up like cordwood. Another option is something like Schwartz.

Underneath is good.

Its quite good underneath, floors solid, frame has some pitting but nothing serious. Trunk has a couple spots where top,was leaking…
I bought it from the original owner in 1982, no winters since then. Rear quarters in the dogleg, I bought GM quarters in 1991 and will section them as required.
thanks for the tips, Ill reach out to Brian Trick
Schwartz?
cheers thanks ✌️

Schwartz?

Schwartz is a manufacturer of tube type aftermarket frames. Very heavy duty, excellent for Resto-mod type cars that the owner wants to handle and stop far better than a factory piece

Steve McDonald

Years ago - say maybe a decade or more ago - met a Canadian guy {McDonald} who had a "cottage" business transporting southwestern frames up there. Wonder if he's still around?? As recalled he WAS from Ontario.

Contact in Erie PA.

Trick (Brian) is in the Erie PA area. Am of belief that is his actual name, not a "screen name". He's more active on the Buick site. He might be the one of the closest to you that might have something ready to go.

Well, it sounds like the body's coming off at some point anyway, so why don't you get it off there now so you can do a proper evaluation of your frame to figure out if it's salvageable before you start shipping chassis all over the Northeast?

When I put car on 4 jackstands on frame between the wheels, door gaps visibly change a LOT - 1/4 in.😬
I found a frame in North Carolina 👌, drove 15 hours and picked it up! Happy Days✌️
