Looking for 70-72 Cutlass Dog Dish Hubcaps & Steel Wheels

Like the title says I'm looking for Dog Dish Hubcaps and Steel wheels for 1970 - 1972 Cutlass.

Would like to find the Steel wheels in the Chicago area due to shipping expenses but for the Dog Dish Hubcaps I will pay for shipping if not in the Chicago area.

I believe I have a complete set, not in the best shape -they came on a parts car and I have them tucked away. PM me if you are interested and I will dig them out and send you pictures.

Do you want the 14x6 that came on the basic Cutlass,or do you want the 14x7 XT-code wheels that came on the W31 & 442's?

If you haven't got a set of caps yet, there's one on ebay that looks pretty nice.
They're in Wisconsin http://www.ebay.ca/itm/360409048855?...84.m1438.l2649

steel wheel

Hi Steve

I ended up with a 15 inch steel wheel yesterday. Spare from a 1978 corvette with the good year polyspare. 4 3/4 bolt pattern 15x5 . If you could find one more you could mount up some skinny front runners

The ones in the ad are different than the ones pictured. Are they '68/'69?

Question hub caps

Steve has dibs on mine. Unless he finds nicer ones or a better price. Which is fine with me. What are these worth these days?

Now that you mention it, they are. I have no idea what year they are but the seller doesn't either. He has them listed as 68-72 with a ??? on the ad. I googled them on a web search and it would appear they are from the late 60's. Check out this C.O. link for more dog dish info? https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...tml#post189113 permalink 10

The caps you are looking for are listed in the newest Fusicks catalogue but holy cow they're expensive! 200 clams + shipping

Nice caps - they probably will be worth what someone is willing to spend. Yup, I know some help that is. The repros sell for 200. With the minor dents, do you think 25 a cap is too much or too little?

Oh BTW you gotta take these pics from a different angle. The convex aspect of the cap makes the reflection of your body look like you have 'el grando poncho'.

The arc of the doggies combined with the slant of the trunk of the Olds definitely supersizes things

I told him $100 for the set of four shipping included. His when he is ready for them. If you have some super nice ones or a set for less money I am sure he would like to hear from you!

Naw, I was just trying to be helpful.
I visited Parts Place on line store and they wanted 519.00 for a set of steeles, caps and lugs. Wow! IMO that's not cheap for 'poverty' items.

So will the "Rocket" dog dish on Ebay and the "Oldsmobile" ones fit the same on that 15" rim just like they do the 14" steelies?
Tom

Tom, I looked at Parts Place and they have 3 different codes for the 14/15 inch wheels. So that's a heck of a good question. Betting the answer is yes because the 15" wheels should also have the same bolt pattern right? All that changes would be the outside diameter (14/15) and with (6/7).

You could phone them 630-365-1800 or contact them via website to find out for sure.

repro junk show

The original wheels GM are what you want.
The 14x7 are XT or IF code by the valve stem.

I would send any repro wheel 14 or 15 0r whatever inch to balancer before I mounted tire 1

my humbled opinion

Tom, I see you are wanting 15" steelies. I have a few sets of factory GM 15x7 steelies if you are wanting some. I have them original needing resto, or I can blast and prime them so you can paint them, or I can get them powdercoated black only because no other color would match correctly. PM me if you are interested, thanks.

I had a set dog dishes restored, the guy said they were made out of an alloy, he thought they were made in Germany.
