late 70's regency rear sway bars

Anyone got a line on where I might find either size of the factory rear sway, specifically for the 78 regency? Does it take the same as the same year(s) cop caprice? I know the rear track is wider so none of the wagon stuff fits....or something else?

my lower control arms are predrilled

Yes, the sedans use the same suspension as the Caprice - in fact, the suspension is the same from 1977-1996 (yes, whale-body part will fit).

There are no wagon rear sway bars from the factory anyway.

I've got the rear sway bar from my old '84 Impala squad car I parted out years ago. It's just shy of 1" in diameter, maybe 31/32". Only have one of the trailing arm inserts though, so you would have to source the other one. $75 plus the shipping.

I might take you up on that, I can weld up the channel mount from some stock if-n I got it. the boneyards are completely empty - the demo derbys ate up all the big cars

Part number for the trailing arm inserts is #10191120. A quick internet search shows a fair amount of them available. Might possibly still be an active number at a GM dealer.
