Not selling but I can give you some pictures, seems not too hard to make unless originality is an issue. I had been searching for a long while checking Ebay etc, found nothing and it seems its an Olds only item, other GM cars used a different setup. Happy that the one I have was included with the 67 442 just purchased, 3 speed.

Can you post some pictures here? Someone may have this laying around and not know what it is. John

Don't know but I doubt it. Like oldsmaniac said it's different between GM brands,

Somebody posted a picture of a Pontiac bracket that looked kinda like yours. I'm going to look in my 67 PIM to see what it shows.
WOW,now I'm losing my mind. The 66 & 67 PIM picture diagram shows them being the same and just like yours. I know I saw a picture of a bracket just like the one I posted but can't remember where.

I believe the 67 manual shows something similar to mine with the tab and 1 bolt mount. I have seen a Firebird one that uses a bolt hole on shifter body to mount a bracket for a push button switch, my shifter has no hole for this one.

You are correct. My 66 & 67 PIM show the same bracket being used both years. The bracket I have came from a 68 guy and he said it came from a 68. It could be that it was changed in 68 so it would have 2 bolts holding it instead of one. We are going to put it beside a transmission to see if the bolt holes line up with bolts on the transmission & that will give us the answer. Is yours for sale? if not would you be willing to let us borrow or rent or?. I think we can make one if we had a sample. We could also copy the rod as we don't have one.
Thanks for your help.

As hard as these are to come by, I wouldn't let it out of my sight but can trace it out on cardboard if you wanted and send to you. When I put a Dearborn in my 67 wagon I have been on the hunt for years with nothing found and as luck would have it my recently purchased 67 442 had the original assembly in the trunk with some other parts.

I completely understand and that was a great find. I would greatly appreciate a tracing if you're willing to do that and will certainly compensate you for your efforts.. I never thought this bracket would be so hard to find.

Thanks, Mike

Yes, my friend who needed it had one made and it was perfect. I thought about having some made but I don't think the demand would drive the cost.

Are you able to make an additional? Or put me in contact to have one made for myself?

He actually made 2 but said he wasn't going to make anymore. It was very labor intensive and he paid good money for them. He paid $300 each for them.

I can imagine. Thank you for getting back to me. If he ends up wanting to sell that second one, I'm interested!

We borrowed one from a friend who needed another one, so my friend is using one and the friend needing another is getting the second one. I know how you feel needing one and can't find it. I do have a pattern made by a fellow member here of his original. You're welcome to use it if you want to try and make one.

If you are able to share the pattern, I am all for it!
