Chris,

Fender made it home unscathed! It was great meeting you and sharing a few beers!

Like I told you, I have a 2bbl intake for a 455, but I don't think it will work. If you can use it, let me know.

Bill

Question intake

Am I to understand that you want to replace the cast iron intake that your rallye came with, with an aluminum W-31 intake?

A compentent weld shop who can do aluminum can most likely repair it.

Just my opinion, but I would put the right iron manifold on it. Not only will it cost a lot less than a W-350, it would be correct for the car and won't change performance one bit.

X2; We use to race an original '70 W-31 in NHRA Stock Eliminator. Our intake also got cracked after many removals, due to the fact that it was milled very thin on the sides, to fit down on the heads correctly. We had it welded and it worked fine. Just my 2 cents.
