Hurst Dual Gate

Hurst Dual Gate
Hello all,
When I decided to get the correct console for my 71 442 (my car came with a 73-77 console) my intentions were to reuse the Hurst dual gate shifter that came with the car. So I collected all the parts to do the "console project", mounting brackets, top plate, shifter cable, etc.
When I pulled the shifter out last night (the previous owner welded the 73-77 mounting bracket to the floor, nice right?) I noticed there is a lot of "slop" in the shifter.
Im not sure if I can actually use the sifter, so I may need a new one. Unless there is a way to get these rebuilt.
If anyone has one or knows how to rebuid them please respond.
Thanks,
Dave
