Hood tooth for '70 442

1970 hood extensions/tooth/tongue/whatever: Why is it so hard to find these things in good condition? Stuff on craigslist, ebay, etc. all junk! Easier time finding an oai hood in good shape I need one for my '70 442 convertible if anyone has a good one. Thanks!

Not hard to find....any longer. Call Fusick and get the new repro "tooth". Should be a nice piece.

Thanks for the responses, and after doing some looking I think I'm going with the suggested Fusick repro. Thanks again as I didn't know there was anyone making these!

No, they are cast pot metal, thus why they crack so easily.

Has breaking been an issue with the Fusick ones at all? I haven't seen much on this, just that Fusick is well liked here and the piece looks good. I just found the link from earlier.

I was speaking of the originals, have no experience with the Fusick repo but from the pics that looks great. Two years ago I was looking for an extra and all they sold was plastic.

Did you find one?? I have a 1970 original off one of my 442's and its in nearly mint condition and I can send you pictures. 50.00 plus shipping it has all the numbers already drilled from the factory and the numbers on the back clear. On one side a little piece is missing but it doesnt show when the bolt is on and it doesnt effect it.

The one thing which we thought was funny but really isnt for the person that gets it is OLD SNAGGY would leave knots on all the non Olds guys looking under the hood, I remember many guys cussing my car holding the back of their head!!! I started warning people but they would still get bonked!!! Maybe thats why there arent many out there!!!
