Holiday 88 Chrome Trim

Hello,

I am currently restoring a 1955 Holiday 88 and one part of the body trim is eluding me.

Would anyone know where I might get the hood front garnish trim please?

Mine is present but too far gone for re-chroming, you can see all the bubbles along the under edge. The upper leading edge is actually rusted through under the chrome, so if I had it chromed, it wouldn't have made it out of the first dip tank!!.

Many thanks for your time and help,
Scott

Hi Scott

This piece is very difficult to find. Ive been looking for it for a while myself. There is one currently listed on Ebay for, in my opinion, an unreasonable $980. I'm sure it's worth that much to someone though. Here's the link:

Good luck,

Dan

Hes got it up for 1k now.....WTF, he aint never gonna get that.
I have been considering trying to make my own out of mild steel, then getting it chromed.
Either that or getting a local forge to make one.
Will let you know how i get on. But there no way im paying 1k.......!!
