I am trying to finish rebuilding my 1956 Oldsmobile 88 324 rocket engine. I converted my 2 barrel to a 4 barrel. I am trying to find the throttle linkage to hook up on the carb? I am having problems finding one? Does anybody have and Ideals so I can finish the project? I am also finishing the body and interior too. Would like to drive my beauty this coming spring?

If you cant find a 56 era Olds linkage look to see what other GMs may interchange?
Tri-Five... 55, 56, 57 Chevy stuff is far more available than 56 anything. Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac.
Look at the aftermarket hot rod vendors. Lokar is one.

You may need to get creative with a combo of OEM & Aftermarket(fabrication). Can the 2 bbl linkage be modified?

I might have it from a 1954 324 if they interchange. I'll have to look and see if I can come up with it.

Some '54 linkage parts are the same as '56 . Some are not .
Also What transmission do you have ? The trans with a park position ? or not ?
It would be best to seek out a '56 parts car with the same trans as yours to get the linkage parts from .

The 1963 Oldsmobile Parts Catalog lists most of the '54 to '56 throttle linkage parts so you can compare numbers to make sure a part will fit .
